About

James Diggs is the founding Pastor of the Corridor Church and is an Ordained Elder in the Church of the Nazarene. In addition to various ministry positions he has held over the years, James has also worked as the manager and photographer at a portrait studio, as a houseparent for at risk-boys from Gary Indiana and Chicago, and for a homeless shelter in Washington DC.

James has been married to his wife Karrie since 1994 and they have three children together; Jakob, Jessika and Joseph. As a family they all genuinely enjoy spending time with one another, and so you will often find them together whether they are all out or hanging out at home.

Growing up James always wanted to make movies before he felt a call to the ministry. He’s still a bit of amateur “film” maker, and is always drawn to good stories. Sci-fi, fantasy, comic-books, and pulp fiction stories have always captured his interests, but he also loves old classic films. Musically, though being a fan of U2 could still be considered “contemporary”, his love for Genesis, especially with Phil Collins, calls him out as a child of the 80’s.

James  loves to sit and talk with both old and new friends. He loves getting to know diverse people always looking to learn more about the perspective of others. He is always looking for ways that we might help “the least of these” among us and feels that in serving others we always gain something far more valuable than what we could ever give.
